Raymond Watts, born September 1st 1961, is also known to the world as Raymond Scabellero, Nainz, and most commonly as Pig. During his career, he has worked with Foetus, Psychic TV, Einsturzende Neubaten, as well as KMFDM. After working with KMFDM on their 1st 2 Commercially Released Albums ("What Do You Know, Deutchland?" and "Don't Blow Your Top"), Raymond started his Solo Career as Pig with 1988's "A Poke In The Eye...With A Sharp Stick", releaded on WaxTrax! Records. Raymond then worked with Jim Thirlwell on the Steroid Maximus project, & Jim remixed tracks for Pig's "Shit For Brains/Sick City" Single. Raymond later ventured to Japan and established a strong fanbase there (hence all the Japanese releases). The 1st of the Japanese Exclusives were the LP "The Swining" & The EP "Red Raw & Sore". Pig opened for Nine Inch Nails in 1994 during the European leg of the Self-Destruction Tour. Trent Reznor then reached a contractual agreement with Raymond & released "Sinsation" on his Nothing Records label. Due to Nothing Records being a small operation without enough time to give Pig the attention they needed (with the explosion of Marilyn Manson), Raymond Left Nothing Records (on good terms). Raymond returned to KMFDM for the explosive "KMFDM VS Pig: Sin Sex & Salvation" and the classic KMFDM album "Nihil". After the KMFDM adventure, Raymond went back to Pig & Released "Wrecked", "Prime Evil" & "No One Gets Out Of Her Alive". Soon, he returned, yet again, to KMFDM as a vocalist for the 1997 "Symbols" album & Tour. However, Raymond was the opening Act, as Pig, during the 1997 KMFDM tour. In 1999, Pig releaded their 6th Full Length Album titled "Genuine American Monster". Yoshi Hoshina, of Blue Noise Fame, hailed the album as " The Masterpiece of Pig's 11 Year Career!"(ad lib). With a career that has now survived more than 12 years, Pig shows no sign of stopping or wavering in his ability to create his own unique, Industrial sound. -DT Music |
