03-30-02 The 85thDay site is fully up (as of 03-04-02) and has info on the band, an MP3 for the track "Saccharin" and has CD's & T-Shirts for sale. Get on that shit ASAP. 02-16-02 Well, it appears Sub.Rosa have changed their name to "85thDay", due to the fact another band named Sub.Rosa existed. Oh well. At least we have a new band shot (above) and the album cover for Thieves (discog). Well, I sent out a Q&A to Jules & Here's his reponses... 1. How many tracks have Sub.Rosa recorded for the upcoming release? -It's an EP. It's Entitled "Theives" and there'll be 5 tracks on it; Theives, Only Love, Different Window, an as yet untitled track and a live track "Saccharin" which was recorded at a small gig in manchester earlier this year. 2. Are there any plans for a US tour or anything of that nature? -We've not got any plans to come to the US yet, as we don't have any way of financing it, but would love to get over there asap. 3. What Exactly is your envolvement on the new KMFDM album? The new Pig album? -When we went in to do the Schwein album, I put down some guitars for some stuff that got used on the most recent KMFDM single and have done a few other tracks for them VIA Raymond's studio. As regards to the new Pig stuff, the whole band is getting involved in the writing and recording process but it's still managing to retain the "Pig" sound, and hopefully pushing it a bit further. 4. Is there an expected release date for the Sub.Rosa EP? -No Definate date as yet, but late January seems most likely. 5. Is Sub.Rosa Currently working with a Label? -Naah, fuck 'em all. We're going to be setting up our own label, but untill that happens, we'll have a link on our soon-to-be-up-and-running webs ite to an independant net based record store that will be selling CDs for us. 6. What type of equipment are you using on the new EP? -There's no Keyboards or samples apart from some strings used on "Only Love", so it's guitar, bass, drums, vocals and that's your lot. The whole thing was recorded on a Roland 16 Track Portastudio at home & in our rehersal studio. In addition... "We've had real problems with the web site thing, but I can assure you that there'll be something up by the 1st week in January, Including MP3's. (Old News) Latest Info Straight From Jules: "We're in the middle of some new recordings at the moment, so that's taking up most of my time (They'll turn up as MP3's sometime soon) and we've got a string of gigs in shitholes round London, allowing us to play to the collection of idiots that masquerade as "The British Music Industry"...
